EVENTS AND CONFERENCES

OUR EVENTS AND CONFERENCE

Each year we committed to delivering high quality learning events to support continuous professional development for those supporting the care of trauma victims.

Foundations in Trauma

Promoting Excellence

Each year we host special Plenary talks at the end of our Tuesday and Wednesday Conference talks; The Ryan Lecture and The Alexander Lecture. The Trauma Care Fellowship is also given in recognition of an individuals lifetime commitment to improving Trauma Care.

A great opportunity to learn more about current trauma guidelines and consensus.

Enables me to stay current with my practice.

It has inspired me to research so much of my practice that has become standard protocol to understand how care can be more focused and therefore improved.

Trauma Care Fellowship

Through conferences, webinars and publications such as the Trauma Care Manual and Trauma Care Pre-Hospital Manual we seek to promote good practice and encourage and support all those involved in the care of the trauma patient whatever their background or specialty.  But as well as promoting good practice we believe it is important  to recognize and honour it. As a consequence we have established the Trauma Care Fellowship.

We hope the Fellowship will become the BAFTA of Trauma Care! The Fellowship is awarded at the discretion of the Trauma Care Council to recognise a lifetime contribution to improving trauma care, or, exceptionally, for a single act of significance in the same field. The recipient receives a certificate and a bronze statuette of the Wound Man cast for us by the distinguished bronze foundry Louis Lejeune Ltd.
