We have forged partnerships with multiple academic institutions to further our goal of establishing a universally accepted standard of practice for trauma patients and ensuring that trauma care education is more readily available to undergraduate students.

Paramedic Science BSc (Hons)
Start your career as a Paramedic on a challenging and rewarding programme developed in partnership with South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT). If you’re looking for an exhilarating and rewarding career as a Paramedic working at the frontline of healthcare, our Paramedic Science degree will equip you with the tools and experience you need to be successful.
You’ll not only develop essential academic and practical abilities, but will also gain broad experience and knowledge of a variety of contemporary healthcare contexts, as you prepare. The course is fully approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), which enables graduates to apply for HCPC registration as a paramedic.

The BSc Paramedic Science course at the University of Plymouth offers a forward-looking programme of study, which aims to prepare you for the workplace by developing your decision-making capabilities, clinical knowledge, and skills base. This fast developing and dynamic profession presents many opportunities to specialise within a variety of challenging healthcare environments. Trauma Care was founded in 1996 to address the need for commonly agreed standards of the best clinical practice in the management of trauma. We aim to improve the outcome of the trauma victim by establishing best practice throughout the whole chain of care. We achieve this through education, research and publishing. No other organisation encompasses the diverse specialties involved in the care of trauma victims from the moment of injury, to the return to active life.
